1930's movie stars Movie Star Mysteries/ORV SinC
Greetings,         I am back online and resubscribed to DorothyL after switching ISP's.  In the almost 3 months since I last posted many mysteries have passed under my eyes.  I particularly enjoyed Barbara Wilson's Accessary to Murder, Lynda S. Robinson's Eater of Souls, finally found time to read almost all of the Maan Meyers New York series, and almost anything with a 1930's/1940's/1950's Hollywood setting.  As a result I've gone from Kaminsky to Shah and Baxt (sorry - bad pun).  Most of these involved movie stars as either the major or side characters.  As we approach Oscar time are there suggestions of other series or _title_s involving movie stars?         Last Saturday I attended the Ohio River Valley meeting of SinC. The speakers at these last two meetings have been super.  In January we had a forensic writing analyst attend the meeting and speak about his involvement in local court cases.  This past Saturday Lee E. Meadows spoke. He is the author of Silent Conspiracy; A Lincoln Keller mystery.  Silent Conspiracy concerns the disappearance of a Motown Singing group in the 60's by a 1990's priviate detective.  For those who like mysteries that involve past events being solved in today's world this may be a book you would enjoy.  Lee discussed his background, how he came to write, and then provided information on a variety of African-American mystery authors.         Happy Reading All,                 Eden Kuhlenschmidt
