Speaking of Miss HK, do you people notice that there are a certain pattern every year?? The pattern is as follows: 1)  Miss HK:  Always the person who is not extraordinary pretty but               is the most graceful and most well educated, often pretty               tall too. 2)  First runner up:  Always the person who is most beautiful and the favorite                       for winning the first place.  She often receives the                       greatest applauses from the audience.   She often                       end up going into show business and become famous                       movie star. 3)  Second Runner up:  Alway a person who is still in her teens and look                        real young, often end up spending years doing TV series                        for TVB.   She is often idolize by youngsters. 4) Miss Photogenic(sp?) :  Alway goes to the most popular contestant and                            end up being either Miss HK or first runner up. 5) Miss Friendship :  Alway given to the contest who is not that pretty and                        end up not even able to go into the semi-final. Hi, I don't think that the pattern is *always* like that, just have a look on the following examples: = The pattern is as follows: = 1)  Miss HK:  Always the person who is not extraordinary pretty but =         is the most graceful and most well educated, often pretty =         tall too. Most of them are really pretty like Lee Ka Yan, Kwok Oi Ming, Yuen Wing Yee, Ko Lai Hung.  Some even do very well in their show business! = 5) Miss Friendship :  Alway given to the contest who is not that pretty and =                  end up not even able to go into the semi-final. Well, I find that although most of them are not pretty, few of them are quite good indeed.  Like Cheung Fung Lei,  although she could not go into final, she is quite pretty (even prettier than some of the finalists) and she did quite well (although not extremely well) in her show business.  The other one is Yung Hang Lan, she is quite pretty and she got the 1st-runner up in that year. Hm...but I agree with the other pattern. Anyway, just my 2 cents! = Kathy
