Hi All; New Line Cinema has some movie info on their web site, http://www.dangerwillrobinson.com.  Movie release date is anticipated to be April 3, 1998. I went to see Men in Black last Saturday, and they played a trailer for the Lost In Space Movie. Sure I'm a fan and all, but this movie looks absolutely FANTASTIC. It opens with a holo-graphic computer doing searches of planets throughout the galaxy. This goes on for about 10 or 15 seconds. Then it jumps into a series of action scenes. The new Jupiter 2 (if they keep the name??) looks a little like the saucer part of the USS Voyager on Star Trek. The Robot looks much taller (like 7 or 8 feet) and is humanoid in shape. Kind of like the aliens in the opening part of The Fifth Element . He was only shown in silhouette. The Robinson family looks good in their new space suits. It's obvious that they are staying away from the campy part of the show. I got the feeling that this was going to be an action/adventure movie. I don't think we are going to see any teleporting Leprechauns looking for space gold, or galactic buccaneers. It looks like a big movie. Keep an eye out for this trailer.
