Titanic is a BAD movie!! The characters were completely one-dimensional and the screenwriting was obvious as hell. Granted, the cinematography was very good and the acting was better than I thought it would be (especially DiCaprio), but this is a very flawed, very bad movie. Spend you money on Fargo, L.A. Confidential and Austin Powers, not a movie that made money solely, SOLELY on hype.

Cuts..... well that's just my 2 cents.... Lord Almighty!! Starship Troopers? Ugh...although I will buy the DVD!! Mind you, it didn't suck, but the acting was insultingly bad, and the story really went a whole lot of nowhere. Venger

Thats the only reason your saying the movie was bad, because of the hype. It has always been a common thing for people to backlash against popular things,even if they dont mean it.If the characters were one dimensional,then why did their story have people going back to the theatre 2,5,or even as many as 10 or more times.And why did the academy give it best picture?The acaemy does'nt give awards _base_d on,as you put it, hype .Face it,people will always knock Titanic for one or more of the following reasons:The movie cost to much,the movie made to much,people talked about DiCaprio to much,the soundtrack sold to many copies,and so on.But no one can truly say te movie was bad,if they try,they are only in denial. I agree, but it makes me wonder what I can say about INDEPENDENCE DAY - now that was crap AND made tons of money $300 mill here and much more than that overseas. I didn't like TWISTER and thought the acting and storyline - ALL of it was horrible. But again, they made money. There's also another big money maker I didn't like, but I'll get my ass flamed off, so I'm not going to bother because a lot of people liked the movie.
