But one thing we must clarify.  My opinion do not apply to special effect of movies only.  I have said repeatedly that there are three sound elements in movie, namely dialogue, music, and special effect, and in that order of importantness. And the movies I quoted included Sense and Sensibility, A Little woman, ... even Tatanic I referred to won't be classified as fantasy movie as the thing touch me is the passion betwen Jack and Rose, not the sinking part of the movie. But this is a easy pitfall for many just as we all know that there are large number of audiophiles that use hifi to play large drum and T-Rex CDs only. Tim Yes, that can be, and HT is not as mature as audio to start with.  But I hope you expect more than that from me

Movie is not limited to photographic films ? Movie, as it is today, is different from video and use only photographic film and cannot be broadcasted in real time as it requires development. Digital movies, digitally recorded movies don't need photographic film, like the advertisement of Vita . As of today, all digitally created movie need to transfer to film for release as all cinema still use film projector. They maybe replaced by video projector some day. But it is more likely than movie cinema will no longer exist before that happen when TV and HT finally achieve the standard of movie. Tim Maybe before that.  Lucas has opted for DLP as the new digital cinema standarad, and that means some (minority) cinema has acutally given up film projector.

That's another way to look at it. But Movie is Multi-media, it is also a hot media (comic fiction, book and painting are normally consider as cold media). That cannot be done even with instant camera! That can only achieve but video but not traditional phtographic film. Why stick to traditional photographic film ? Movie is not limited to photographic films ? And live TV or video broadcast of event is not a movie. When no one is telling you if it is a live broadcast, do you know if it is a movie or a live broadcast ? Felix

How can you broadcase a movie and the same time when it is shot? Yes. Why not ? Can you have normal photograph (not video) at the same time as it is shot? That cannot be done even with instant camera! That can only achieve but video but not traditional phtographic film. Why stick to traditional photographic film ? Movie is not limited to photographic films ? And live TV or video broadcast of event is not a movie. When no one is telling you if it is a live broadcast, do you know if it is a movie or a live broadcast ? Felix
