WED NOVEMBER 18 - HALEY HOUSE THANKSGIVING PIES ORDER DEADLINE This year Haley House Bakery Café is making our delicious, from-scratch pies for pickup throughout the Thanksgiving Week. This year, we will offer four varieties: -Apple Crumb -Pumpkin -Sweet Potato -Pecan  (our no corn syrup recipe) The pies cost $18, and if folks order more than 20 pies (often in the case of a workplace), we will deliver them for free. Because pies will be baked to order every morning, orders will be ready for pick-up at our Roxbury location (or for delivery) starting at 1PM each day - Monday Nov 23 through Wednesday Nov 25. Place your order by tomorrow - Wednesday November 18th at 4PM - Call our catering line (617 939 6837), and Dan Cordon will take your order (we just need the total number of each variety).  If he is not available, just leave your phone number and he will call you right back. Payment is made on collection (or delivery) and cash/check are the preferred methods of payment. THURS NOVEMBER 19 ­ A TASTE OF JAMAICA PLAIN For the second year running, Haley House Bakery Café is presenting treats at the excellent Taste of Jamaica Plain event, benefiting the Ecumenical Social Action Committee.  We will be showcasing Sistah Za¹s Vegan Sliders that have been featured at our Friday evening Vegan dinners for the last few weeks. We hope to see you at this fundraiser, held at the Cedar Hall at 61 Rockwood Street in Jamaica Plain. Tickets are $35 each ­ for more info, go to: http://www.esacboston.org/taste.html FRI NOVEMBER 20 - THE RETURN OF THE RAW FOOD DINNER & A MOVIE It was evident from the number of folks were turned away from our ³Simply Raw² Dinner & A Movie that there is a big demand for this film (and this meal).  This Friday, November 20, we will reprise this event for those who didn¹t get in to our sold-out show.  The evening will begin with Zakiya Alake¹s raw food feast (with collard veggie roll-ups and raw Portobello, avocado and ginger maki rolls), followed by Morgan Spurlock¹s Simply Raw documentary, which monitors the impact of a raw food diet on diabetics. Following the film, Nina LaNegra will facilitate a discussion about the film. [Please note that this event will replace our usual Friday night Vegan Dinner (Sistah Za¹s V-Spot)]. TUES DECEMBER 1 ­ TSAM DANCE MASK EXHIBIT OPENS Our next exhibit comes to us from the ³Mon-Ael² Mongolian Cultural Center of the Arts and features Tsam Masks, used in the tiger dance that was developed in the times before Buddha. EVENING SCHEDULE As you probably know, we are now open Wednesday through Friday evenings until 9pm (last orders at 8:30).  We will be open for evenings this week, but we are closed for evenings during Thanksgiving Week. This evening schedule will resume during the week following Thanksgiving: -Pizza and Jazz on Wednesdays -Art is Life itself (our performance series) on Thursdays -Sistah Za's V-Spot (a Vegan 3-course dinner!) on Fridays You can always order off of our regular menu if you prefer that to the featured specials.
