We got the boy a new cell phone. The old one's dead. I seem to recall you're not supposed to throw them away, though. Something to do with the battery? When we got the last one, I thought they even gave us a mailing pouch so we could send our old dead one back for proper disposal. We didn't have an old dead one back then. But now we do, and no pouch. One of my local grocery stores has a drop box for donation and there are a number of charitable groups who take and refurbish them. Often Radio Shack stores will accept, too. It isn't as convenient as a mailing pouch, but this place might have info for you. If you put in your zip code, they'll tell you the nearest recycling center. http://www.call2recycle.org/home.php?c=1&w=1&r=Y/ Excellent! Looks like I've got plenty of choices quite close. It's strange to me that the new phone didn't even come with a warning.
